Sustainability is very important to us. We have been working for many years and we keep working everyday to take concrete measures that help us to be more sustainable and play our part to save the planet. These are some examples.
Water Energy Powered By Solar Panels
Locations fully developed by City Break Apartments have been fitted with Roof-Top Solar Panels. Allowing us to reduce the buildings dependency on power from the main grid and giving us the capacity to supply clean and renewable hot water to our guests.
Renewable Sources Of Energy
Our main Electricity Suppliers take pride in providing 100% of its energy from renewable sources.
We have switched the majority of our portfolio to Energy Companies offering 100% renewable energy
Cycling. The Way We Move
Cycling has always been highly promoted within the company. Our maintenance team cycle when moving around the city.
Benefits are numerous; faster guest response times, get to know the city, zero emissions and allowing for daily exercise.
Reservation teams use cycling as their preferred mode of transport, when meeting guests or doing routine property inspections.
Many of our employees have benefited from the " Bike To Work Scheme " facilitated by the company during the years.
Our Founders, Johnny & Philip have both cycled the Mizen to Malin challenge, 640 kilometres for 'Cycle Against Suicide Charity'.
Refillable Dispensers To Reduce One-Time Use Plastic
We have shampoo, body gel and hand wash dispensers in showers and bathrooms. This helps us to drastically reduce our plastic waste.
Energy Saving Bulbs. For A Brighter Future
All our bulbs are energy saving led bulbs. This way we can reduce the energy consumption and the impact on our planet.
Modern Vehicle Fleet
Our vehicles are replaced periodically to guarantee modern vehicles with the lowest fuel consumption and cleanest technology. Our vehicles currently use Adblue to reduce road emissions by 90%.
We will replace our current combustion fleet with Electric Vehicles by 2025/2026
Double And Triple Glazing Windows / Secondary Glazing
A proportion of our apartments have double, triple glazing and secondary glazing, which helps create better heat insulation and provides reduced external noise. We will continue to invest in glazing solutions and best practice for sustainable living
Mobile Phone Smart Access
Some of our buildings have smart locks which allow us to grant access to our guests by using electronic access that is sent to their mobile phone. This eliminates the need for physical keys and plastic cards.
Reducing unnecessary waste
Taxi Services
When our City Break reservation team hails taxis for our guests, we select electric vehicles as our preferred taxi choice.
We Recycle
We provide recycling solutions to our guest, so we can make sure the trash is disposed in an appropriate manner.
