1. Bookings Cancellation Terms

General Bookings payments and cancellations terms

The guest can cancel free of charge until 3 days before arrival. The guest will be charged 30% of the total price if they cancel in the 3 days before arrival. If the guest doesn’t show up they will be charged the total price of the reservation.

The guest will be charged a prepayment of 30% of the total price at the time of the booking.

Non Refundable Bookings payments and cancellation terms

The guest will be charged the total price of the reservation if they cancel anytime.

The guest will be charged a prepayment of the total price of the reservation anytime.

Once in house

No refund is offered for stays of 1 to 7 nights once the guest has already checked-in.

For Stays of 8 nights or more, the cancellation must be notified at least 7 nights in advance by email to City Break Apartments.

3rd party websites bookings

In the event that the guest has made the reservation via a third-party website, encompassing, but not limited to, Booking.com, Expedia, and Airbnb, the guest must consult the respective website for the pertinent cancellation policy applicable to the specific booking.

Relocation company bookings

If the reservation has been initiated by a relocation company on behalf of the guest's company, the guest is required to consult the agreement existing between these entities for details regarding the relevant cancellation policy.

2. Pre-authorisations & Deposits

A Credit Card Pre-authorisation of up to Euro 500.00 may be requested upon arrival as a guarantee of your stay.

3. Rules & Regulations

The reservation agreement will be governed by a license agreement in line with Irish Law.

Check-In and Check-Out Guidelines

Check-In Protocol: Upon check-in, guests must provide a valid form of identification matching the booking guest's name. Acceptable forms of identification include Passport, National Identity Card, or National Valid Driving License. The provided document must be current. Additionally, contact details will be required, for use in case of emergencies.

Check-In Time: Our standard check-in time is set at 16:00. However, if the apartment is ready before this standard time, we may be able to accommodate an earlier check-in for an extra fee. Early check-in can be guaranteed by booking the night preceding the scheduled arrival.

Check-Out Time: Our standard check-out time is 10:30 am. Late check-outs are subject to availability and may necessitate an additional payment. In instances where guests do not depart as scheduled and without prior notification, guest will liable for costs incurred due to unavailability for incoming bookings.

Luggage Storage: Guests arriving early and whose accommodations are not yet available are offered the option, at no extra charge, to store their belongings at our main head office located at 168 Granby Place. For guests requiring a place to store their belongings after check-out, our main head office will be available at no extra cost for a period not exceeding 12 hours. If a guest wishes to prolong their utilisation of the Left Luggage service beyond 12 hours following check-out, they will incur a daily fee of €10.

Booking Extensions: Guests have the flexibility to request booking extensions at any time. The extension, which will depend on the availability must be confirmed in writing by City Break Apartments. It may involve variations in the nightly rate when compared to the initial reservation.

House Rules

General Upkeep: Guests are expected to maintain the property in an orderly and clean state during their stay. Any damages or issues must be promptly reported to City Break Apartments. In the event of the guest's failure to maintain an acceptable standard of tidiness and cleanliness, City Break Apartments hereby retain the prerogative to either demand compensation or, at their discretion, levy a full or partial deduction from the previously authorized sum on the relevant credit or debit card, if applicable.

Smoking Policy: All apartments provided are strictly designated as non-smoking areas. Smoking is strictly prohibited within the premises. A penalty of €200 shall be imposed.

No Parties: Absolutely no parties, gatherings, or events of any nature are permitted within the apartment premises. A €200 penalty will be enforced in the event of a breach. City Break Apartments retain the prerogative to summon law enforcement, as necessary. In such instances, the occupants will be compelled to vacate the premises, resulting in an automatic reservation cancellation without any refund, and additional expenses may be incurred due to law enforcement intervention.

Pet Policy: Under no circumstances are guests permitted to bring pets onto the property, unless prior written consent has been obtained from the accommodation provider. When written authorisation for pets is granted by City Break Apartments, a refundable deposit of €500 and a mandatory departure cleaning fee of €200 will be required.

Key Replacement: In the event of lost or stolen keys, a fee of €200 may be incurred for key replacements.

Reporting Maintenance Issues: Guests are obligated to report any maintenance issues immediately to the accommodation provider. The accommodation provider will categorise and prioritise maintenance issues accordingly.

Garbage Disposal: Guest(s) are responsible for disposing of their waste in accordance with the specific guidelines outlined in the information packet located on the rear side of each apartment's main door. It is imperative for guests to use the designated refuse bins or purple bags provided, adhering to the appropriate bin categories, such as Recycling, Glass, General waste, and more, as specified.

Energy Conservation: While all utilities and common household charges are included in the rate, guests are encouraged to adopt environmentally responsible practices and to conserve energy during their stay.

Reservation Cancellation and Modification By The Accommodation Provider

Cancellations And Modifications : City Break Apartments reserves the right to cancel or modify reservations under certain circumstances, including but not limited to situations where it appears that a customer has engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity or when it appears that the reservations contain errors or mistakes.

Assistance During Stay

Maintenance Issues: Maintenance concerns are categorised by priority. Response times are defined for each category, and tenants are encouraged to report issues to City Break Apartments in a timely manner.

Complaints: Any formal complaints regarding accommodation aspects must be submitted in writing via email to City Break Apartments at info@citybreakapartment.com. City Break Apartments is committed to resolving issues promptly. In cases where resolution is not possible, alternatives, such as complimentary additional services or partial refunds, may be considered.

The guest shall not be entitled to a reduction in the pre-agreed fixed rate due to transient interruptions in power or water supplies, or due to transitory technical system and facility damage within the apartment or the residential complex covered by this agreement, unless such disturbances are proven to be the direct result of culpable actions by the landlord. This provision similarly extends to disturbances and inconveniences arising from natural events and external nuisances, exemplified by, but not limited to, noise and dust.

Damages Policy

Damage Definition: Defining Damage is deemed to be any issue that results in the property's condition deviating from its initial state. Various types of damage are recognised, including physical damage, stains and spills, appliance damage, fixture damage, paint and wall damage, pet damage, water damage, mould growth, and unauthorised alterations. Normal wear and tear are not classified as damage.

Liability: Liability for Damages The booker assumes liability for the cost of rectifying any damages inflicted by the tenant during their stay. This responsibility extends to covering any loss of income due to the unavailability of the accommodation unit unless an alternative arrangement has been mutually agreed upon and documented in writing.

Reporting Damages: Reporting Damages, whether resulting from accidents or negligence, must be promptly reported to City Break Apartments by email as soon as they are observed. Damages that evolve over time, such as mould growth or those caused by pets or children, must be similarly reported as soon as they are detected.

Mattress and Bedding Damage: Guests will be held responsible for any stains, spillage, soiling, or other forms of fouling on the mattress and bedding, and they will be liable for the costs of replacement.

Parking Spaces: City Break Apartments assumes no liability for damages, theft, or any incidents related to the guest(s) vehicles.

Access to the Accommodation Unit

Staff Access: City Break Apartments' staff is authorised to access the unit for cleaning services, maintenance, and inspections. Staff will adhere to a standard protocol of knocking or ringing the doorbell before entry.

Guest Consent: Guest acknowledges and agrees to grant the landlord access to the unit without advance notice under specific circumstances, including suspicion of illegal substances usage, welfare checks, law enforcement requests, and emergency repairs.

Pets: When approved pets are present in the apartment, guests are expected to work in cooperation with City Break Apartments to facilitate a stress-free experience for both the staff and the pets when sharing the same space. On certain occasions, this cooperation may involve the temporary removal of the pets from the accommodation while the service is being provided.
